Clinical evidence to support probiotic strains used:
In a double-blind randomised placebo- controlled trial involving 60 children, the combination of probiotic strains found in Biome DentalTM significantly reduced mean plaque score and gingival index when compared to both placebo and chlorhexidine after 14 days of intake (p<0.05), with a total reduction of 69% and 68% respectively when compared to baseline. This same formulation was also found to significantly reduce gingival index and plaque score compared to placebo (p<0.05) in clinical trials involving adults with similar results when compared to chlorhexidine.
